In this online United States History II course, students will explore the development of modern America, focusing on events and issues from the late Industrial Revolution to the present day. This course covers various topics, including the Industrial Revolution, the Progressive movement, foreign affairs and imperialism, the World Wars, the Great Depression, the Cold War, the civil rights movement, the rise of terrorism, and contemporary social and political history. The goal of the course is to assist students in connecting past events and ideas to their current lives, enabling them to better understand their place in American history. Through this contextualization, students will gain a deeper appreciation of the American story. (Semester 1 of 2)
